The political, economical and societal consequences of the pandemic crisis

In the past months, a previously unseen and deeply moving pandemic has unfold and it will definitely mark the history of the 21st century.

The Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 had serious health consequences and forced millions of people to lockdown.

It also had a strong impact on economic activity, public authorities and society in general. The economy was stopped, companies were in difficulty, or even bankrupt and governments under strong pressure, it also had social impact for employees and self-employed ... The consequences of the pandemic are immense, for all sectors and in all countries.

Together with Maria Cattaui, we will try to see what will be the political, economic and societal consequences of the pandemic crisis. What will be the stakes for Europe and all the agreements in place between the different nations ? Will we be able to revive international cooperation or will we experience a national withdrawal ? Will we face an unprecedented financial crisis ? What will be the impacts on employment and social services ?
